The course, through an exciting
mixture of theory and practice, is designed for professional or aspiring
actors who wish to improve their performance skills through the English
speaking medium.
The

ENTRY
REQUIREMENTS
Selection
of course members will be made on the basis of:
 |
a
satisfactory level of competence in the English Language*
|
 |
talent
and the potential for future employment in the performing arts
|
 |
a
familiarity with professional theatre or other related art forms
|
 |
curiosity,
intelligence and enthusiasm about the theatre
|
*
If the candidates’ English is at a lower level, CELT can bring
them up to the right level.
ASSESSMENT
The
main assessment modes are:
 |
Continuous
observation of work in progress throughout the course.
|
 |
Practical
assessment of acting skills and/or technical work.
|
Performance will be used as an appropriate means of
assessment
CERTIFICATION
A
Certificate of Merit will be awarded to those who complete the course
successfully.
DURATION & NEXT
COURSE DETAILS
The course is organised with meetings
once per week (4-hour sessions 16:00-20:00) or twice per week (2-hour sessions
18:00-20:00) .
Our next course starts in February
(02/02/05)
and will be completed at the end of May.
If
interested, please call the office and register by January 15th 2005.
No
course will run with fewer than 5 (five) participants.
TUITION FEES
Fees are 750 Euros and cover tuition, materials and Certification.
MAIN TUTOR
Makki Marseilles,
main drama tutor on the course, founder and artistic director
of
Rainbow Theatre.
Makki is also a teacher of English, writer and journalist whose
ambition: is to set up an English speaking theatre in Athens all
year round.
Marisa
Constantinides will also be contributing sessions on the Drama
Course
